The 11^th Annual White Rock n’ Roll is a 5-mile timed run, following an out-and-back scenic course from Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake in Dallas. This year's event will feature 4 rockin’ bands and a fun post race party. Participants will receive a technical shirt* by Ridoto.

Proceeds from the race will benefit: For the Love of the Lake and the White Rock Lake Foundation.  

For the Love of the Lake is an enthusiastic, energetic group of volunteers dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of White Rock Lake Park. For more information on FTLOTL and all that they do please visit www.whiterocklake.org

The White Rock Lake Foundation assists the Park and Recreation Department in restoration, improvement, maintenance, and preservation of the lake's natural health and beauty for the benefit of the people and wildlife. From the intersection of Buckner Blvd and Garland Rd, go south on Garland Rd for 0.6 miles. Take a right on Emerald Isle (Barbec’s restaurant is there at the turn) and go approx. 0.5 miles. Take a left on Winfrey Point Drive at the dead-end, just past the ball fields on your left. The building at the top of the hill is Winfrey Point. This is where registration, merchandise sales, and the awards ceremony will be held. The race begins straight down the hill from the building, on the lake side. Map of the lake

Additional Parking info:

In the event of rain, the City of Dallas will not allow parking on the grassy areas of Winfrey Point because doing so destroys the vegetation.  The Dallas Running Club has secured back up parking at the Lakeside Baptist Church, 9150 Garland Road, in the east parking lot, which will be marked with cones and "DRC" Parking Here.

A big thanks to Lakeside Baptist Church for providing an alternative parking plan for DRC.

7:00 am – Registration and Pre-registration Bib Pickup open 

7:30 am - Pre-Race Warmup Activities (with Alexis from FM 93.3 Quality Rock and Jay Johnson's Fitness Bootcamp)

7:45 am – Registration closes – You will not be included in the results if you arrive after this time!

8:00 am – Race Start (starts down the hill on the lake side)

9:00 am - Join Codger at Winfrey Point (circle drive in front of Winfrey Point)

9:00 -10:00 am - Join YMCA for Post Run Cool Down (10 mins increments)

9:30 am – Kids’ 1K Race (in the grassy field, behind the baseball field/parking area)

10:00 am – Awards

Non-Members: Before you pay that entry fee, consider JOINING THE CLUB! Cost of membership is easily made up in the 8 free monthly races each year, as well as many other membership benefits.

Registration

You can register online until Wednesday, April 29th at 11:59 p.m. There will be race day registration and registration at packet pick-up (entry fee is $25). There is no mail-in pre-registration. 

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be held at the DRC Clubhouse. The Dallas Running Club is located at 1152 North Buckner Blvd in the Casa Linda Plaza (next to Guarantee Bank and downstairs from Another Broken Egg). Pick up dates and times are:

Thursday, April 30^th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Friday, May 1^st from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Race Date from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. (AT WINFREY POINT)

 * Shirt sizes are subject to availability

Awards

1^st Overall (male and female)

1^st Masters Division (male and female)

Top 3 finishers in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. 

Top 3 finishers in Athena (women over 155 pounds) and Clydesdale (men over 195) category. You are not eligible for age group awards if you participate in the Athena/Clydesdale category. To participate in Athena/Clydesdale, you must check the check box during the registration process. You can not be added to that category later.

Timing

Pull-tag timing is used.

Kids’ Crafts and 1K Race

Age group awards for top 3 girls and boys for age groups 1-7 and 8-12.  Participant ribbons to all runners.  We'll be doing a fun craft as well.  This event is free to all kids.  Parents, please pre-register your kids (in family memberships, they have their own log-in info; or register them as non-members) online so that we can better plan awards and crafts.  Parents are welcome to join us for a warm-up before and cool-down after the race.

Merchandise

We will have lots of new club merchandise available before and after the race. New Members, bring your new membership letter to the merchandise table to pick up your member shirt (two shirts for couple and family memberships). The merchandise table can only accept cash and checks.
